Community Education

If you are looking to learn something new, gain new skills, improve your employment opportunities, meet new people or learn for enjoyment, then South Staffordshire College will have a course to offer you.

We offer daytime and evening courses, so if you are returning to learning or choosing your next course, and you are an adult aged 19+, we will have something for you!

From part-time leisure courses to qualifications, we have something for everyone, with a wide range of short courses for adults aged 19 and above. Our courses offer opportunities for adults to learn together, to follow an interest, gain a new skill, gain qualifications, become healthier or learn how to support your own children with their education and well-being. We also have many courses available offering opportunities for you to progress on to our college courses or gain qualifications to improve your career prospects.

Courses are available on every campus with a variety of times offering you a flexible timetable to return or continue your learning, and our vocational qualified teachers are highly skilled and will ensure your learning experience is enjoyable and valuable.

Please see below for our full list of Community courses, broken down into subject areas: Arts & Crafts, ESOL, Foreign Languages, Leisure, and Sign Language.

At South Staffordshire College our students come first, and everything we do is aimed at helping you to realise your full potential. We are about careers not courses and our expert staff will make sure you have the skills and knowledge needed to give you that competitive edge for when you start your career within your chosen industry.

As a school leaver, you will be treated as an adult, within a friendly and supportive environment. You’ll enjoy more freedom and independence, and you’ll make many new friends, all with the same passion and journey ahead as you. As an adult, we understand you may feel uneasy about returning to education, but there is no need to be. We have smaller class sizes and supportive tutors to make you feel very welcome.
