No formal qualifications are needed but ideally, a 1 year beginners’ course or having had exposure to the language by teaching yourself.
You will be able to acquire the four language skills of speaking, listening, reading and writing in Spanish that would enable you to communicate effectively with native speakers.
After a year’s tuition, you would be able to progress onto the conversation class.
Spanish students benefit from acquiring a good understanding of basic English grammar through Spanish grammar.
The ability to use numbers is very important to everyone, in any language, in all sorts of situations. These include asking the time, purchasing food and drink, enquiring about arriving and leaving times of transport and adding and subtracting to find the value of something.
This course runs for 3 terms of 10 weeks each, usually starting in September. You will need access to a dictionary, hard copy or digital and a lever arch file for work done in class or at home.
You have to be aged 19+ or above to join this course.
