The Equine industry holds many exciting opportunities to engage with horses in a wide variety of roles and responsibilities. From breeding to riding there is always going to be a role that lets you develop your passion and improve your knowledge and skills.

There are just under 1 million horses in the UK, with over 1 million of us actively riding on a regular basis. The great variety of roles and allied industries within this sector has led to a buoyant jobs market for those willing to develop their skills. From riding clubs, horse racing to show jumping the variety of possibilities is wider than many realise, and all require modern skills and knowledge.

Key information

Training takes place on our Rodbaston estate and is supplemented by close links with regional industry experts. You will be taught through a combination of classroom and practical activities that replicate the skills and knowledge required by modern industry.

You will be required to complete a minimum of 150 hours industry experience, a vital part of further developing employability prospects.

You will be required to purchase your own protective equipment such as riding hat and boots.

As well as achieving a nationally recognised technical qualification in equine you will also have the opportunity to achieve qualifications in English and maths.
