    This is perfect for students who have little knowledge of dogs but who are interested in a career in dog grooming. It is also an ideal course for dog owners who wish to learn how to correctly groom a specific breed in a variety of styles.

  • Required qualifications

    No qualifications required.

  • What skills will I develop?

    Students will learn the basic knowledge required for grooming their pet.

    This is a 10 week course that will help you gain skills and knowledge that is required for the basics of dog grooming.

  • Careers

    The introductory course would be a stepping-stone into the qualification courses that are held at Rodbaston College for a career in dog grooming.

    You may choose to continue studies with a professional dog grooming qualification.

  • English and maths

    English and Maths is embedded into the course.

  • Other important information

    Please bring your dog with you, for you to brush, bath, dry and pamper. No grooming equipment is required, as all tools and resources will be supplied for you.

    Comfortable, sensible and practical clothing are a must for this course, for obvious reasons.

    Your dog will even be able to make new friends, as the workshop will have a group of attendees, each canine will bring along its owner.
