Many jobs in this sector involve working in some of the most iconic and beautiful places in the country, jobs can be outside in all weather and also partly desk based. Basic Rangers salaries can be over £20,000 with consultants earning double this amount.

The wide variety of jobs on offer is often underestimated and can range from working in a country park, environmental protection or even advising government ministers.

Key information

As well as achieving a nationally recognised technical qualification in land and wildlife management you will also have the opportunity to achieve qualifications in English and maths.

Training takes place on our Rodbaston College estate and is further supplemented by close links with regional industry experts.

You will be taught through a combination of classroom and practical activities that replicate the skills and knowledge required by modern industry. As part of this course you will be required to complete a minimum of 150 hours industry experience, a vital part of further developing employability prospects.
