Uniformed Public Services

Do you want a career within the public services, emergency services or the armed forces? Our courses will give you an in-depth understanding of the essential skills and knowledge required to work in your chosen area. You will learn and develop team skills, leadership, fitness and resilience.

After several years of financial cuts and reduction of staff there is now a focus on recruiting quality individuals to serve within our communities.

The Government are currently targeting over 20,000 new Police Officers and multiple opportunities for apprenticeship programmes in a variety of uniformed service areas including the NHS and Fire Service.

Future Earnings would see a Soldier, Sailor or Airman earning over £20,000 after completion of their training.

Key information

The course develops individuals, their confidence, team skills, leadership and fitness which enables direct entry into the services or alternatively the Level 3 course also holds UCAS points allowing progression to university.

Alongside the main study programme you will get the opportunity to complete the DofE Award (Bronze & Silver) and a nationally recognised First Aid Qualifications.

If you like to get out of the classroom regularly the programme includes adventure training, expeditions and regular fitness sessions including assessing against public service standards.

You will be required to purchase a uniform, details of which will be provided at enrolment.
