Employment is not limited to performing, there are other opportunities such as film and TV, theatre in education, musical theatre, cruise ships, entertainments manager, arts administration, drama/dance therapy, director, choreographer, script writer, teacher, education manager and company manager.

Creative industries are the fastest growing sector in the UK economy. During the performing arts course, not only will you learn techniques and knowledge in drama, dance and singing, but you can gain skills which are valued by all types of employers, for example confidence, collaboration, self-discipline and problem solving.

Key information

As part of our performing arts courses you will learn all three disciplines of drama, dance and singing, and learn about all aspects of the performing arts industry. Work on the course is built around projects which include practical workshops, research, lectures, performances and reflection activities.

This course enables you to explore a wide range of genres from classical and contemporary theatre, devising, scriptwriting, film and TV acting, through to contemporary dance, jazz dance, ballet, tap, choreography, mask work and singing.

A range of performance opportunities will enable you to develop your performance skills and prepare you for Higher Education and Industry auditions.
