Our approach

Our approach is on ‘careers not courses’ this means that when studying with us, you’ll be supported with tons of relevant work experience and training opportunities throughout your time at college.

This will give you the perfect opportunity to put skills you’ve learnt at college into practice into real-world situations meaning you’ll hit the ground running once you start work.

There is something for everyone at South Staffordshire College which means it is a fantastic place to #CreateYourCareer.

What happens after I have applied?

School leavers

Once your application has been submitted, our friendly Learner Services team will reach out to you to arrange either an interview or an IAG Session, depending on your chosen course. During this interaction, we will discuss any support you may require. During this appointment our teaching staff will talk through your career aspirations and predicted grades. This just helps us to make sure you have applied for the right course to help you to achieve your career goals.

Please be aware that interviews will be conducted over the phone, while IAG Sessions will be held face to face at one of our Saturday Open Days or during an evening weekday slot.

You will then be invited to enrolment after your results day. More information will become available nearer the time.

Adults

Once you have submitted your application and made payment if needed (adults), you will receive an email from us to confirm your application and you are then ready to start your course.
