  • Is this course for you?

    This course is for adult learners who are struggling with maths or would like to brush up and improve their knowledge of maths. The contents in this course encourages, motivates and develops your confidence in a positive manner. Learners will understand and know the importance of maths and English used on a daily basis in your own lives and the workplace.

  • Required qualifications

    No qualifications are required to enrol onto this course.

  • What skills will I develop?

    Learners will develop and improve their maths skills of addition, subtraction, multiplication and division. Students will learn a variety of different topics such as numbers, dealing with and using money, calculating sequences, percentages and fractions.

    Students will also develop and improve their communication skills, build-up their self-esteem and confidence along with making new friends.

  • Careers

    Upon completion this course, learners can progress towards an Entry 3 or Level 1 qualification course.

  • Other important information

    The course runs for 10 – 12 weeks, one day a week for 2 hours per week for each subject. Before you start the course, you will do an initial assessment to decide what level of work is best for you to do. The tutor will always demonstrate and explain what is required. Learners will be given worksheets and some homework given to do where necessary for practice.

    A pen, pencil and notebook are required, but not essential.

    To attend this course you have to be aged over 19+ years.
