At South Staffordshire College we have a dedicated team of careers advisors who can provide in-depth careers information, advice and guidance to assist you with your future career aspirations. They can support you before, during and when you have completed your course.
The careers team can support learners with planning their career journey and help them to consider all opportunities available. This includes employment, apprenticeships or Higher Education.
The team can also help learners to choose the right course to help them achieve their long-term career goals as well as support with making an application to a Higher Education course (to study at college or university). Learners can self-refer through this link.

The aim of our Careers Strategy is to encourage and empower learners of all ages to explore the full range of options available to them after their chosen course of study ends. We are proud to be part of the Stoke-on-Trent and Staffordshire Careers Hub in line with the DfE vision for all schools and colleges to be a part of a Careers Hub by 2024. We work closely with the Careers and Enterprise Company to further expand and improve our careers provision within the College. The CEC is the national body for careers education in England, supporting schools and colleges to deliver modern, 21st century careers education. Our mission is to help every young person find their next best step. Supporting schools and colleges to engage with local employers to help them deliver world class careers support for all young people by building networks, supporting Careers Leaders in school and using the Gatsby Benchmark framework as a best practice standard and tool for continuous improvement.
