Rodbaston College celebrates 100 years with a launch event

This year, Rodbaston College is celebrating its 100th anniversary. Students and staff who attended the college during the last 10 decades were invited to mark the occasion at a special celebratory event held at Rodbaston Hall on Thursday 25th November.

During the event guests were able to look back through old photographs and memorabilia throughout the college’s rich history, as well as reminisce and chat about their memories experienced at the college.

Claire Boliver, Chief Executive Principal of the college, said “To celebrate Rodbaston Colleges centenary year is truly exciting! It was truly a pleasure to welcome staff and students both past and present to mark the occasion celebrate the rich history of Rodbaston”.

Guests also heard a few words from Stafford MP Theo Clarke, Jeremy Lowe from the National Farmers Union and Philip Atkins OBE.

Theo Clarke MP for Stafford said “I am delighted to be taking part in the celebration for Rodbaston College’s 100th Birthday. For a century Rodbaston College has been known across the Midlands as a leading agricultural college and on my visits to the College I have seen first-hand how it has built on its great reputation to become the fantastic educational facility it is today. I am pleased to be celebrating this historic milestone with staff and students today and I hope Rodbaston College will continue to educate Staffordshire residents for many years to come.”
