    This two-year T Level is designed for learners aged 16–19 who want to develop the skills and knowledge needed for a career in management and administration.

    Equivalent to three A Levels, this qualification combines classroom learning with a substantial industry placement, giving you real-world experience.

    You’ll explore topics such as business context, people management, quality compliance, project and change management, and develop practical skills through an occupational specialism in areas like Business Support or Team Leadership.

    If you’re interested in a career in business, leadership, or administration, and want a mix of academic and hands-on learning, this course is for you.

  • Required qualifications

    You’ll need a minimum of four GCSEs at grade 4 or above, including maths, and grade 5 in English.

  • What skills will I develop?

    You’ll gain a strong understanding of how businesses operate and learn essential skills for management and administration roles.

    Core content includes:

    • Business context and organisational culture
    • People and business behaviours
    • Quality and compliance
    • Finance principles
    • Project and change management

    You’ll also complete an Employer Set Project and an occupational specialism, developing practical skills in leadership, business support, or process improvement.

  • Careers

    After completing this T Level, you can progress to:

    • University for business or management degrees
    • Higher apprenticeships in leadership or administration
    • Employment in roles such as team leader, business support officer, or project coordinator

    This qualification is highly valued by employers and provides UCAS points for higher education.

  • Work experience

    You’ll complete a minimum 315-hour (approximately 45-day) industry placement with a local employer. This gives you hands-on experience, helps you apply classroom learning in real situations, and builds your CV for future employment or apprenticeships.

  • English and maths

    • Duration: 2 years
    • Assessment: Two written exams, an Employer Set Project, and practical assignments for your occupational specialism
    • Awarding Body: City & Guilds
