Is this course for you?

The qualification is aimed at those who use handheld leaf blowers and vacuums as part of their work, either in horticulture, arboriculture or forestry.
What skills will I develop?

This covers the use of leaf blowers and vacuums, covering pre-use checks and maintenance, identification of controls and instruments and operating the machine to blow or collect vast amounts of leaves to the capacity of the machine.
Careers

This qualification will support progression into employment where leaf blowing and vacuuming is part of the role. Safe operational skills are key to efficient use, good working practice and preventing accidents, leading to business benefits in terms of less machinery damage and down time.
Other important information

You must be a minimum of 16 years old. Machines and PPE will be provided by the college for the purpose of training and assessment.

This work is partly based outdoors so appropriate clothing should be worn.
