    Time Management and Future Planning

    During this masterclass you will consider your workplace strategic visions for the future by creating action for change. You will consider various strategic levels of future planning and where your plan sits within these. You will reflect upon a specific change that you would like to address (however small) and the resources/time scale you will need to make that change. You may use SWOT or SWEAT analysis or your workplace vision statement to help you consider your action for change. You will evaluate concepts in how managing your time effectively will work for you to make future planning successful.

    Aspiring leaders, new managers, and experienced leaders looking to refresh and realign their leadership approach.

  • Learning outcomes

    By the end of this masterclass, participants will be able to:

    • Demonstrate a clear understanding of key research and/or theoretical concepts of time management
    • Evaluate their status in terms of time management
    • Reflect on personal and professional future planning
    • Develop a personal leadership plan for future planning and change
  • Content areas

    • Overview of classic and contemporary research (e.g. Covey, Eisenhower and Dweck)
    • Self-assessment of growth mindset (Dweck)
    • Reflective approaches to future planning through SMART targets
    • Identifying personal and professional strengths and areas for development through SWOT/SWEAT analysis
    • Setting objectives for personal and organisational impact
  • Delivery format

    Interactive workshop, including individual reflection, peer discussion, case study analysis, and action planning.

    A personal leadership plan for change in a report format.
