    Sustaining Team Motivation

    During this masterclass learners will consider the term motivation and reflect upon what motivates them and those they lead. Learners will explore various theoretical concepts in relation to motivation of individuals, and they may use these in the workplace. Learners will reflect upon specific aspects of continued motivation, as celebration of their team successes.

    Aspiring leaders, new managers, and experienced leaders looking to refresh and realign their leadership approach.

  • Learning outcomes

    By the end of this masterclass, participants will be able to:

    • Demonstrate a clear understanding of key motivational theories and how they apply in practice
    • Evaluate their current approaches to team motivation
    • Reflect on personal motivational experiences to identify strengths and areas for development
    • Develop a develop a case study analysis to support their future leadership journey

    • Overview of classic and contemporary motivational theories (e.g. McGregor, McClelland, Herzberg)
    • Self-assessment of leadership motivational style(s) and the impact on others
    • Reflective practice and case study techniques
    • Identifying leadership strengths, values, and areas for development
    • Setting EI objectives for personal growth and professional impact
  • Delivery format

    Interactive workshop, including individual reflection, peer discussion, case study analysis, and action planning.

  • Assessment

    Completion of a case study analysis in written assignment format.
