    Mentoring and Coaching

    During this masterclass learners will define and consider the terms of Mentoring and Coaching. They will be introduced to various theoretical concepts of Mentoring and Coaching and consider their application within the workplace when supporting others to grow and succeed to move towards an independent and vibrant workforce for future success.

    Aspiring leaders, new managers, and experienced leaders looking to refresh and realign their leadership approach.

  • Learning outcomes

    By the end of this masterclass, participants will be able to:

    • Demonstrate a clear understanding of key theories of mentoring and coaching and how they apply in practice
    • Evaluate their current approaches to individual/team mentoring and coaching
    • Reflect on personal mentoring and coaching experiences to identify strengths and areas for development
    • Develop a reflective essay to demonstrate understanding of coaching mentoring theoretical concepts

    • Overview of classic and contemporary coaching and mentoring theories (e.g. GROW, COACH OSCAR)
    • Self-assessment of coaching and mentoring style(s) and the impact on individuals and teams

    • Identifying coaching and mentoring strengths and areas for development
    • Setting coaching and mentoring objectives for personal growth and professional impact

    Interactive workshop, including individual reflection, peer discussion, case study analysis, and action planning.

    A reflective essay to demonstrate understanding of coaching mentoring theoretical concepts; reflect upon personal learning throughout this masterclass; critically analyse theoretical concepts in practical situations.
