If you currently work in the health and social care industry, are aged 19 or above, and want a recognised Level 2 qualification, then this is the course for you.
Adult Care Workers are frontline staff who help adults with their care and support needs to live as independently and safely as possible, enabling them to have control and choice in their lives and achieve personal goals.
To apply for this course, you will need to already be employed in the care industry, and there are a range of job roles that this course is suitable for including: Care Assistant, Care Worker, Support Worker, Personal Assistant, Relief Team Worker, Support Worker – Supported Living, Key Worker in Residential Settings, Key Worker in Domiciliary Services, Key Worker in Day Services, Home Care Support Worker, Substance Misuse Worker, Learning Disability Support Worker, Mental Health Support Worker, Mental Health Outreach Worker, or Re-enablement Worker.
Please note that the course is free for those who:
- Live in a Staffordshire postcode and earn less than £25,750 per year
- Live in a West Midlands Combined Authority postcode and earn less than £34,149 per year
If you fall into one of these categories, please ignore the payment screen after you have submitted your application. If you earn over the threshold, you are still able to do the course but would either have to pay for it yourself or get your employer to pay for it.
Upon successful completion of this course, you will achieve the NCFE CACHE Level 2 Diploma in Care.
