    This course has been developed by BPEC in collaboration with MCS. It is specifically designed for practicing electricians, electrical technicians, and engineers with experience in electrical installations and related inspection and testing. The course provides the essential training to enhance their current skills for the installation of battery based Electrical Energy Storage Systems (EESS).

  • Required qualifications

    Learners must be competent electricians and have an NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification that enables ECS Gold Card registration. Learners will also have a BS 7671: 2018 Requirements for Electrical Installations (18th Edition) qualification.

  • What skills will I develop?

    The course content is specifically designed to align with the requirements for dedicated Electrical Energy Storage Systems (EESS), as outlined in the IET Code of Practice for electrical energy storage systems and the MCS Battery Standard MIS 3012.

    EESS installation is a task that must be performed by competent, qualified professionals with the necessary prerequisite qualifications. This training course aims to equip individuals with the knowledge and skills needed to perform this work effectively.
