  • Is this course for you?

    If you are a complete beginner and would like learn how to use your computer or laptop, how to use programs & apps, using the features of the Microsoft products and learn how to define your searches on the Internet and what ‘cookies’ are, or deal with attachments in Email – this is the course for you.

    You do not need any qualifications to attend the course, however it would be beneficial to yourself if know the basics of a computer.

    You will be using desktop computers in the classroom, however you can bring your laptop, provided they have Microsoft Office on them (different versions are catered for). Learners need to ensure they have enough charge in their laptops or remember their charging cables.

    To attend this course you have to be aged 19+ or over

  • What skills will I develop?

    During the course you will gain more confidence, understanding and knowledge of the Microsoft products – creating, editing files within the packages, together with best practices within email and searching the internet. We will also look at the different storage locations available for pictures and files.

  • Careers

    Further opportunities after attending the course are: ITQ Level 1 User Course – a qualification showing your understanding of the various Microsoft products. Job opportunities would be targeted at Reception, General Admin

  • English and maths

    English: Learners will development verbal communication skills through class activities and discussions. Your spelling and grammar will be met through completion of exercises.

    Maths: Learners will develop confidence in maths through creating and editing spreadsheet
