Local community invited to create sustainable Christmas wreaths at Rodbaston Animal Zone
November 2026
Seasonal greenery from across the Rodbaston College estate will be given a festive new purpose this Christmas as Rodbaston Animal Zone hosts its first wreath making event for the local community.
Taking place on Saturday 21st November, the event will give those taking part the opportunity to create their own Christmas wreath using natural materials sourced from the college grounds.
Making the most of what is already growing across the college grounds, the event offers a more natural approach to festive decorating while giving local people the chance to enjoy a relaxed and creative activity in the run up to Christmas.
No previous wreath making experience is needed, with all greenery, natural materials and equipment provided on the day. Everyone will leave with the event with their own handmade wreath to enjoy at home over Christmas.
Lisa Langston, Commercial and Compliance Manager at Rodbaston Animal Zone, said: “We wanted to do something a little different this Christmas. We’re incredibly lucky to have such beautiful grounds here, so it seemed fitting to make use of some of the natural materials growing across the estate. It’s a chance to slow down for a couple of hours, get creative and make something personal to take home and enjoy over Christmas.”
Morning and afternoon sessions are available, with places costing £35 per person, including refreshments and a festive treat.
Places are limited, so advance booking online before the event is essential. Book a place at the Christmas wreath making event.
