South Staffordshire College to help motor industry employers gear up for the future
November 2026
South Staffordshire College is inviting motor industry employers to a dedicated event focused on recruiting new talent, developing their workforce and preparing for the changing skills needs of electric and hybrid vehicles.
The Motor Vehicle and EV Employer Event will take place at Rodbaston College on Tuesday 24th November from 8.30am to 11am. The event will bring together local businesses and industry professionals with the college’s Motor Vehicle and EV team.
During the face-to-face event, employers will have the opportunity to meet Motor Vehicle students, tour the college’s specialist facilities and talk directly to the team about apprenticeships, workforce training and the support available to their business.
For businesses, planning for the future is not just about recruiting new talent. It is also about making sure existing employees have the skills and knowledge they need as vehicle technology continues to change. Businesses looking to recruit, develop their workforce or prepare for EV technology can book their place at the event to find out how South Staffordshire College can support them.
Ahmed Hussein, Faculty Director for Motor Vehicle and Engineering at South Staffordshire College said, “We want to work closely with local employers to understand the skills they need, both now and in the future. This event gives businesses the chance to meet our students, talk to our team and explore how apprenticeships and training could help them develop the workforce they need.”
