Trudie McGuinness is a safeguarding specialist, trainer, speaker, coach and consultant. She established her career as a senior leader in education, working in both further and higher education settings, before establishing her own businesses. After working as a Designated Safeguarding Lead in four different settings, including South Staffordshire College, of which Trudie was proud to be part of the founding Senior Leadership Team, she established The Essential Safeguarding Company.
Trudie is a passionate advocate for education and believes that educators need and deserve excellent support in order to best serve pupils and students. She and her team support DSLs and wider staff and governance teams via specialist training, supervision, coaching and mentoring and consultancy.
Trudie lives in Staffordshire and values the role that the College plays in her community and that of the wider locality in its contribution to economic, social and personal development. She feels privileged to continue to play a role in support of the College students and staff.
