Mike is a consultant who recently retired from KPMG where he was the UK head of KPMG’s Education practice providing support to governments, regulators and education providers within the school, vocational and higher education sectors. Mike is a qualified accountant who worked across a range of sectors while at KPMG for over 30 years. During this time, Mike carried out a range of advisory and assurance work around FE funding, mergers, costing and regulatory reviews. In addition, he has also project managed college mergers and undertaken a number of national studies on behalf of the ESFA which was formerly the SFA, LSC and FEFC.
Cannock is Mike’s hometown where he went to, what is now, Chase High School as well as studying one O level at South Staffordshire College’s Cannock campus. Mike knows the area well and is incredibly passionate about education and making a difference.
