    By completing this course, you will gain the practical skills and legal knowledge required to safely and ethically implant microchips in cats, dogs, rabbits, and ferrets. With microchipping now mandatory for dogs and soon to be required for cats, this qualification will ensure you are fully prepared to meet industry needs

  • Required qualifications

    • You must be at least 16 years old.
    • No formal qualifications are required, but prior experience or a qualification in animal care, veterinary support, or first aid is recommended.
    • Basic literacy and numeracy skills are needed to complete the assessments.

    • Microchip implantation techniques – how to safely implant and scan microchips.
    • Legislation and ethics – understanding UK laws surrounding animal microchipping.
