Eyelash and Brow Treatments – Level 2 (Evening)

What skills will I develop?

This course has specifically been designed to help develop your practical skills in shaping (tweezers) and colouring (tinting eyelashes and eyebrows). You will learn how to maintain the original eyebrow shape and/or change the shape to clients desired style. Furthermore, you will also learn about different colour characteristics and the chemical process of tinting. All with a view of setting you up to a high level of occupational ability within this area.

Careers

Once you have completed a Level 2 Award in Eyelash and Eyebrow Treatments, your could look to build your skills further with one of our other short courses in beauty (such as nail technology or waxing) or even pursue one of our full time programmes. The course will also provide you with opportunities to pursue a career within the industry as outlined below:

• Self-employed/able to offer eyelash and Eyebrow treatments
• Beauty salon
• Retail and training
• Cruise liners
• Photographic or media work

The beauty sector is steadily growing within the West Midlands currently employing around 4,000, this is expected to grow around 2.6% within the next 3 years.

English and maths

English and maths qualifications are an integral part of the working world and will help you prosper. If you do not have English or maths qualification at Level 4 (Grade C) then the college is here to help. You will have the opportunity to take an additional course if over 19 where you will be assisted through the maths or English qualification, completing the GSCE exam at the end of the academic year. Within our qualification development of maths and English will be embedded into each of the sessions and will help to develop your confidence in dealing with a number of core skills, such as; costs of treatments, effective communication with clients, timings for treatments and the taking bookings.
