You need to be able to understand what you have read within the learning materials and answer the assessment questions in your own words and in full sentences.

  • What skills will I develop?

You will learn about the fundamental principles and values that underpin adult social care and how to put these into practice when caring for an individual at the end of their life. It also covers how to support their family and the emotions and questions that have to be dealt with when someone is dying.

  • Careers

This is a very good course to set you on a career path in adult social care. From this course you could progress to level 3 and then if you wanted to pursue a managerial role, level 5 in the care sector.

  • English and maths

Your work will be assessed for appropriate English and maths; corrections will be identified, and any development points will be highlighted to you.
