  • Required qualifications

    You don’t need any formal qualifications in order to do this course. You will need to be able to read and write in English.

  • What skills will I develop?

    You will develop an understanding of the context of supporting individuals with learning disabilities. Look at the principles of Safeguarding and Protection in Health and Social Care and gain an introduction to Personalisation in Social Care.

    Develop an understanding of the principles of Positive Risk-Taking for Individuals with Disabilities and an Awareness of Autistic Spectrum Conditions. Including the Principles of Supporting Individuals with a Learning Disability to Access Healthcare

  • Careers

    Once complete you may want to continue and study another distance course.

  • English and maths

    You should have a good level of English to complete the course. However, English and Maths is not formally assessed as part of your course.
