  • Is this course for you?

    This course focuses on promoting understanding the meanings of the terms Equality and Diversity, their difference, and how they are covered by legislation to ensure all people are treated fairly and appropriately. It enables the individual to understand how they can positively affect culture, communication and inclusion, within the workplace, within society, and at home.

    The course is 12 weeks in total and can be completed via an online platform or paper based assessment.

    There is no endpoint exam only ongoing assessments throughout the course.

    Your work will be assessed for appropriate English and maths; corrections will be identified, and any development points will be highlighted to you.

    During this course you will learn and develop an greater understanding of:

    • The difference between the terms equality, diversity and inclusion
    • Indirect and direct discrimination, victimisation and harassment
    • Follow best practice approaches in areas such as recruitment and employment.
    • The consequences of lack of compliancy with the regulations and legislation.
    • What action to take when facing or witnessing unfair treatment at work
    • Identifying behaviours, language and attitudes that promote equal and inclusive working relationships
    • The benefits of diversity, equality and inclusion within the workplace, communities and society as a whole.
