    This SWAP is ideal for individuals looking to start their careers in education sector, including recent graduates, career changers, and those seeking to enhance their professional skills.

  • Required qualifications

    Must be working at pre-entry 3 in English and Maths. The college will complete a BKSB assessment with participants.

    Eligibility: Customers need to be unemployed, in receipt of a benefit either:

    • Universal Credit
    • Job seekers Allowance
    • Economically Inactive, Returners 50+
    • Must have leave to Remain, aged 19+ as of 31st August 2024, be eligible to study and have lived in the UK for the last three years.
    • All benefit claimants
    • Economically inactive, Returnees, 50+ and all stated in eligibility list.
    • Employed part time
  • What skills will I develop?

    Taking part in our Working in Education SWAP at South Staffordshire College, will equip you with a diverse set of skills and knowledge essential for a career in education sector.

    Practical Teaching Skills: You will gain valuable knowledge in classroom management, lesson planning, and delivering educational content. This practical exposure will help you understand the dynamics of a classroom and the various teaching methodologies that can be employed to engage students effectively.

    Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Effective communication is crucial in education.
