South Staffordshire College utilises GrantFinder to identify new funding streams

February 2025

South Staffordshire College is excited to announce it will be working with GrantFinder, the UK’s leading funding database. This partnership will enhance the colleges’ ability to secure external funding and investment.

The landscape of funding for colleges is evolving rapidly, and by working with GrantFinder the college hopes to have increased opportunities to secure government grants, research funding, skills development initiatives, and private sector funding. From capital investment for new learning facilities to revenue funding for student support services, accessing the right funding sources ensures the college’s long-term sustainability and ensure we can continue to provide the best learning environment for our students.

Kirk Hookham, Deputy Chief Executive at South Staffordshire College said “Colleges play a vital role in developing skills and supporting economic growth, and securing the right funding allows us to enhance our educational offerings and expand our impact. By using GrantFinder, we can ensure we capitalise on all relevant opportunities and make informed decisions that will benefit both our students and the wider community.”

GrantFinder’s comprehensive database and expert insights will enable the college to identify funding aligned with the college and region’s strategic priorities. This ranges from infrastructure projects and curriculum development to sustainability initiatives and digital transformation.

John McLaren, Head of Business at Grant Finder and The Knowledge Exchange said “Further education institutions have a wealth of opportunities to secure funding that drives innovation and growth. By leveraging technology and data-driven insights, colleges can take a proactive approach to funding applications, ensuring they maximise every opportunity available to them.”

With the right resources in place, South Staffordshire College is well positioned to continue delivering high-quality education that meets the needs of students, employers, and the wider community.
