Rodbaston Estate

You will get the chance to learn about the rich variety of unique habitats and biodiversity that we are so lucky to have here in the UK.

Our diverse and vibrant rural estate includes mixed deciduous woodland, farm habitats including important peat fields and grassland, and freshwater habitats including numerous ponds and flowing water, plus the Staffordshire and Worcestershire canal even borders the estate.

You will also encounter a wide range of species such as mosses and lichens, fungi, plants and trees, insects, amphibians and reptiles, birds, and mammals.

The environmental sector is at the spearhead of ensuring the effective and sustainable management of the planet we all share. Only by understanding the ecosystems in which we live can we hope to protect them for future generations.

The range of job opportunities and employment prospects within the countryside sector is far greater than many people realise, and by working in this industry, you will be fundamentally important to helping tackle these global sustainability and environmental issues that affect us all.

As an adult, we understand you may feel uneasy about returning to education, but there is no need to be. We have smaller class sizes and supportive tutors to make you feel very welcome.
