With over 75% of the UK’s land use being agriculture and with a current skills shortage in the sector now is the time to consider a career feeding the nation. Modern agriculture is quick to embrace new technologies and will require a skilled workforce capable of adapting to changes in both business management and climate.
With an ageing workforce it is vital the next generation have the skills to succeed.
As well as achieving a nationally recognised technical qualification in Agriculture you will also have the opportunity to achieve qualifications in English and maths.
Training takes place on our Rodbaston estate and is supplemented by close links with regional industry experts.
You will be taught through a combination of classroom and practical activities that replicate the skills and knowledge required by modern industry. You will be required to complete a minimum of 150 hours industry experience, a vital part of further developing employability prospects.
You will be required to purchase your own protective equipment such as overalls and safety boots.
