If you are aged 19+, you are not required to complete English and maths, although you will be provided with the opportunity to do so if you would like to gain a recognised qualification. You can explore the range of GCSE and Functional Skills courses we offer for adults at the college here.

English and maths will also be embedded into the Level 3 programme and will help to develop your confidence in dealing with a number of core skills in the beauty industry such as the costing of treatments, effective communication with clients, timings for treatments, and taking bookings.

  • Other important information

When you begin your journey as a trainee beauty therapist, you will be expected to wear a uniform and purchase a kit which will become your tools to success. You will also be expected to provide your own stationery such as a folder, notepaper, and writing implements. Depending on your individual circumstances, you may be eligible for financial support to help you cover the cost of both the uniform and the kit. You can read more about the different financial support on offer at the college here.
