Students inspired by Great British Menu chef Stuart Collins

Stuart-Collins on the Great British Menu

South Staffordshire College students have been inspired by local chef Stuart Collins this week during the college’s careers week.

Stuart has had a highly successful career in the hospitality sector, dishing up delicious food all over the world for some of the biggest names in the industry, including Gordon Ramsay.

Stuart, who now owns and runs Docket 33 in Shropshire, is representing the Central Region in the Great British Menu which is airing on BBC2 this week, so we wish him the best of luck.

Stuart is the son of Gill, the Operations Manager at our Rodbaston Animal Zone, who said: “Of course I am an extremely proud Mom, but this is all about inspiring all learners to recognise that they can achieve their career aspirations, through education, support, hard work and determination!”

Careers Coordinator Karen Dungey added “how important it is for our learners to listen to people’s career journeys, to inspire them in achieving their dreams and raising aspirations”.

Huge thanks to Stuart for taking the time to come and speak with our students. Find out more information regarding our Hospitality and Catering courses at Tamworth College.
