South Staffordshire College announced as a National Digital Insights Hub
February 2026
South Staffordshire College is proud to have been selected as one of a small number of colleges nationally to serve as a Digital Insights Hub, recognising our strength and leadership in digital innovation across further education.
The programme, led by the Association of Colleges (AoC), brings together high‑performing colleges that are driving digital transformation and supporting the wider FE sector to build confidence, capability and long‑term digital maturity.
As a Digital Insights Hub, South Staffordshire College will host an in‑person event to share digital best practices, deliver an online session for FE professionals nationwide, and work with the AoC, Jisc and fellow hubs to share sector learning. In addition to this, the college will mentor three other colleges to support them with strengthening their digital approaches.
This recognition reflects the college’s strong digital foundations, including our Digital Strategy, the work of our Digital Learning Team, and our proven impact in areas such as VR adoption, AI in learning, and digital curriculum development.
Steve Wileman, Head of Digital Learning at South Staffordshire College, said “South Staffordshire College is absolutely thrilled to be chosen as one of the first Digital Insight Hubs. It’s fantastic to see our commitment to digital innovation recognised, and we’re looking forward to sharing best practice and collaborating with other colleges as part of this exciting pilot.”
This milestone strengthens the college’s role in shaping the future of digital education and marks the beginning of an exciting new phase of collaboration, innovation and sector‑wide impact.
