    In this course, students will learn the art of sugarcraft using three different products: marzipan, sugar paste, and flower paste. Sugarcraft is a delicate art that involves moulding, shaping, and decorating sugar-based products. It is a popular form of cake decoration, and students will learn how to create beautiful and intricate designs for their cakes.

    Throughout the course, students will receive hands-on instruction and guidance from an experienced sugarcraft professional. They will also have the opportunity to practice their skills and create their own designs under the supervision of their instructor. By the end of the course, students will have gained a solid foundation in sugar craft and be able to create beautiful and unique decorations for their cakes.

     

  • Required qualifications

    No formal qualifications are required just an enthusiasm for the subject.

  • What skills will I develop?

    Course Objectives:
    • Understand the properties and uses of marzipan, sugar paste, and flower paste.
    • Create products from scratch and understand the correct techniques for colouring, flavouring, and storing.
    • Master basic sugarcraft techniques such as shaping, moulding, and cutting.
    • Develop advanced sugar craft skills such as painting, dusting.
    • Create a variety of decorations using marzipan, sugar paste, and flower paste, including flowers, leaves, figures, and other intricate designs.
    • Gain confidence in their sugarcraft abilities and create unique and beautiful designs for their cakes.

    After this course you can progress onto a qualification course to further your career. You may want to explore our other courses that include chocolate and buttercream work.
