SSC Motor Vehicle student is a sponsored rider in the British Motorcycle Racing Club

Jamie Malin, one of our Level 1 Motor Vehicle students at Rodbaston College, is a sponsored rider in his spare time racing motorbikes in the British Motorcycle Racing Club (Bemsee) 300cc championship. Jamie recently bought his Kawasaki Ninja bike into the workshop and got dressed up in his race suit at our May open day for potential future students to see, and we caught up with Jamie on the day to talk about his racing and ask how he is doing on the Motor Vehicle course at #SSC.
Jamie said: “I have a big interest in vehicles in general. Cars, bikes, anything really as long as it has an engine. The course will benefit me a lot on the mechanical side of things, and I’m learning how to use lots of different tools properly. I am benefitting from also learning transferable skills, which has allowed me to set up my own businesses recently. Really looking forward to progressing onto the level 2 course next year and going on to create my career in the industry!”
