18th Edition Electrical Wiring Regulations

Are you a qualified electrician or an electrical employer? Do you need to prepare for the new 18th edition wiring regulations? We can help with your training.

As of September 2018, South Staffordshire College will be delivering a 10 week 18th edition electrical course to ensure that you and your employees are well prepared for the new regulations. Delivered by industry expert staff at our campuses in Tamworth and Rodbaston, our course will run one evening per week from 6pm – 9pm.

Designed for both individuals and electrical employers with multiple staff, our course is designed to help ensure and certify that your installations meet current regulation guidelines. Relevant to those who undertake both commercial and domestic electrical work, places on our courses are limited, so register your interest now!

Discounts are available for group bookings for 10 or more employees.

The 18th edition facts…

  • Due to be issued on 2nd July 2018, the regulations apply to the design, erection and verification of electrical installations and additions and alterations to existing installations.
  • Installations designed after 31st December 2018 will have to comply with BS 7671:2018.
  • All qualified electricians will need to have updated their skills to comply with the new regulations by 1st January 2019.
