Step into Apprenticeships is a 3 week pre employment/apprenticeship programme that will support you to gain the skills you need to secure employment.

We understand that you may not want to join a full-time course and want to move into the world of work quickly and effectively. Step into Apprenticeships will help you develop the skills you need in a short space of time. We work closely with apprenticeships and employers in your local area for a guaranteed interview in the sector of your choice.
Required qualifications

You don’t need any qualifications, just the ‘hunger’ to get a job and the ‘want’ to learn a new skill.
What skills will I develop?

Are you looking for employment? This course gives you opportunity to develop the skills and knowledge to gain employment or an apprenticeship.

As part of the Step into Apprenticeship programme you will gain support in:
- One-to-one coaching
- Personal action plan
- Confidence building and self-motivation
- Specific training in the career path you have chosen
- CV and application letter writing
- Job search and application form support
- Interview techniques
- Apprenticeships
- Dress to impress
- On-going support after returning to work
Careers

Once you have completed this course you will be guaranteed an interview with apprenticeships or an employer.
Other important information

You are required to purchase safety boots, work gear and details of these will be discussed at interview. All other equipment such as power tools and safety aids, PPE, are supplied by the college as required.
