  • Is this course for you?

    The ILM level 3 certificate in principles of leadership and management is an exciting and brand new course and is an ideal qualification to develop the skills of the workforce, is perfect for new and aspiring junior managers or for those looking to re-engage with learning and break down barriers to retuning to the workplace. This course delivered online or face to face develops new skills or refreshes current skills to support or enhance your current job role.

    You will achieve a nationally recognised qualification which will equip you to be a successful leader and manager, developing skills in topics such as, solving problems and making decisions, understanding leadership, leading and motivating a team and understanding performance management. Sessions will be delivering using a combination of individual and group work, including discussions, case studies, presentations, debates, research, workshops and tutorials.

    You will be taught through a combination of classroom and online delivery with supportive 1 to 1 tutorials sessions with our qualified, industry experienced team, that will ensure you progress through the programme.

  • Required qualifications

    There are no formal entry requirements; however, it is beneficial to have an interest in becoming an aspiring leader or manager.

  • What skills will I develop?

    The ILM level 3 certificate in principles of leadership and management is the perfect choice of qualification for new or aspiring junior managers. Learners will pick up the core skills and understanding needed to deal with management responsibilities and develop as leaders, helping to start their career with confidence.

  • Careers

    Local market intelligence suggests that there will be 50,000 jobs in the West Midlands by 2023 for managers within sectors such as leisure, accommodation and food service, including hotels and restaurants, administrative services, health and manufacturing.

  • Work experience

    There is no requirement to complete any work experience with this course, however, you may wish to undertake some volunteer work in a business environment to enable you to practice your new skills.

  • English and maths

    There is no requirement to study English and maths whilst on this course, however it may be an essential requirement for the majority of leadership and management roles, therefore it would be beneficial to develop your maths and English qualifications.
