    Protecting individuals from infection is an essential part of providing good quality care either in a domestic or workplace environment and is particularly relevant at this current time. This course is for those wishing to gain an understanding around the principles of controlling and preventing infection.

    No formal qualifications needed.

  • What skills will I develop?

    This course will develop your understanding of the causes and spread of infection and the part personal hygiene, ensuring a clean and safe environment and good practice for the sterilization, decontamination of equipment plays in maintaining this. You will also learn how this relates to your own roles and responsibilities in the prevention and control of the spread of infection.

  • Careers

    This is an excellent CPD unit for those already working in the care sector or individuals working in an environment where infection may be a risk to others. It also serves as a good introduction to those wishing to pursue a career in the Care sector.

  • English and maths

    Your work will be assessed for appropriate English and maths; corrections will be identified, and any development points will be highlighted to you.

  • Other important information

    To be eligible for funding, you must be aged 19 years or over and have lived in the EU for 3 years. You will gain a fully certified Level 2 qualification.

    *Please note that we charge learners that fail to complete the course within 12 weeks a fee of £125. This is a contribution to our costs associated with this course. Should you withdraw or not complete, you will be sent an invoice for this amount.
