  • Is this course for you?

    Do you work with children and young people and want to enhance your skills. This course will provide you with the awareness and understanding of bullying, how to recognise when it is taking place and the actions you could take to stop it.

    Our distance learning courses are an ideal opportunity to enhance your career prospects. You will receive all the necessary materials to complete the course in the comfort of your own home.

    You will be given 1:1 support as you work your way through each of the units from subject specific professionals.

  • Required qualifications

    A good standard of English is required to complete the course and it would be beneficial to have an understanding of working with young children.

  • What skills will I develop?

    This course aims to increase the awareness of the types of bullying that can occur, what factors can create a bully, the legislation surrounding bullying and how to help an individual who is being bullied.

    The course is divided into four core units:

    • The Principles of bullying
    • Recognising bullying in Children
    • Actions to be taken when a child and young person is being bullied
    • Understand government guidelines for bullying
  • Careers

    This course is will support you if your work with young children to develop your knowledge and understanding. You next step could be to try one of our other courses.

    We have a number of other courses in the Childcare sector that can enhance your knowledge and build upon the skills you need to work with young children.

    • Understanding Children and Young People’s Mental Health
    • Introduction to Caring for Young Children
  • English and maths

    You should have a good level of English to complete the course. However, English and maths is not formally assessed as part of your course.
