Networking professionals are vital to every organization and those with networking skills can land a great job and set their sights on a rewarding career! This third course in the 3-course CCNA series describes the architectures and considerations related to designing, securing, operating, and troubleshooting enterprise networks.

    Networking support professionals are vital to the success of all organizations that depend heavily on the smooth operation of their network infrastructure.

    Together with CCNA 7: Introduction to Networks and CCNA 7: Switching, Routing, and Wireless Essentials, this course aligns with the CCNA Certification.

  • What skills will I develop?

    This course covers wide area network (WAN) technologies and quality of service (QoS) mechanisms used for secure remote access along with the introduction of software-defined networking, virtualization, and automation concepts that support the digitalization of networks. You will work with routers and switches using OSPF in point-to-point and multiaccess networks and understand virtualization, SDN, and how APIs and configuration management tools enable network automation.

    You will also earn a Networking Academy badge for completing this course.

  • Careers

    Completion of your course could lead to a career as a Network or Network Support Engineer, Network Operations Engineer, Network Administrator, Sales Engineer/Virtual Account Manager.

    You will earn a Networking Academy badge and course completion certificate and be ready to take your full CCNA Accreditation Exam. You could progress into Industry or undertake further study and start the CCNP courses or diversify into CISCO’s Security or Cyber Ops programmes.

  • English and maths

    There is no formal qualification in English or maths required for this qualification however an expectation of a good level of competency in these areas is advisable.

  • Other important information

    This is a short course (3 hours a week) running over seven weeks (taking into consideration holidays) with a total of 21 hours’ worth of face to face teaching.

    It is expected, if required that learners will work on tasks and assignments in their own time to assist in putting together the successful completion of learning objectives for this course.

    Throughout the course there will be formative assessments to test your knowledge designing and configuring small networks.

    At the end of the course there will be a supervised test and practical which when achieved will allow you to obtain your course certificate and CISCO Networking Academy badge.

    During each chapter you will get to test your knowledge designing and configuring Local and Wide Area networks. At the end of the course there will be a supervised test and practical which when achieved will get you your course certificate.
