  • Is this course for you?

    Do you want to gain the new skills in Warehousing and Logistics or gain experience ready for work? This course in Warehousing including storage handling is an ideal start building your knowledge and learn more about warehouse logistics. As a Level 1 vocational qualification in Employment in Warehousing, you will gain the essential skills for an apprenticeship, traineeship, or to boost your CV qualifications and help secure your dream job interview.

  • Required qualifications

    No previous qualifications are required to start this course, you will build on your skills and gain new qualifications throughout the 5 weeks of learning and be ready to progress towards the next steps to #CreateYourCareer with extra knowledge and confidence.

  • What skills will I develop?

    You will gain essential skills and knowledge to begin your journey into the Warehouse Logistics sector. This Level 1 Award qualification is made up of full vocational units where you will learn:

    • Moving and handling
    • Assembling orders
    • Packing goods

  • Careers

    This qualification can be used towards your foundation level studies and can also help you progress into employment. Once you have completed your training, you can access a wide range of roles within the logistics sector such as a:

    • Trainee warehouse operative
    • Storeroom operative

    As an option, you could also progress onto Supply Chain Warehouse Operative apprenticeship – to gain more skills and be paid at the same time.

  • English and maths

    As a student at South Staffordshire College, you will have the opportunity to complete your maths and English GCSE or Functional Skills.

  • Other important information

    You will need a folder, pen and paper when attending each class, both in-person and lessons delivered remotely.
