Digital and IT

The Digital and IT sector is worth more than £400 million a day to the UK economy, and is growing six times faster than any other sector. The need to bridge the digital skills gap is now more important than ever.

The college has been working with some exciting partners, including Staffordshire county council and the Local Educational Partners in the formation of our two Campus Digital Hubs, in Cannock and Tamworth. We also have our Huawei Academy, to provide additional opportunities for our students to support their learning and careers, including competition opportunities and access to additional learning resources.

Digital infrastructure impacts on pretty much every area of industry, with the UK leading the way, only behind the US and China. Whether you’re a digital novice, or computer Whiz, it’s important that all people have access to digital skills, with a constant need to update, improve and maintain them in what is a rapidly changing and technologically innovative climate.
