Flexible Routeway is a project funded by the Department of Work and Pensions and the European Social Fund.  It is delivered by South Staffordshire College in partnership with Stoke on Trent College, and can offer the following to unemployed adults living in Staffordshire.

  • Tailored Employability Training; CV Skills, Interview Techniques and more...
  • Motivational Training and Life Skills; Confidence Building, Communication Skills and more...
  • Gain up-to-date experience through work placements and work trials
  • Job Search Support in fully resourced centres
  • Funded training opportunities to meet the needs of local employers
  • Access to links with local businesses and daily jobs

Adult Apprenticeships

Adult apprenticeships are available for people who have been unemployed for some time or who have been made redundant and want to retrain to help get back into the job market. This applies to adults in Staffordshire up to the age of 59.

Free on-the-job training

Free, on-the-job training, is enabled by funding from the Learning and Skills Council and the European Social Fund. We are currently offering NVQ Level 3 adult apprenticeships in the following sectors:

  • Adult and early years care
  • Customer service
  • Electrical installation
  • Health and social care
  • Motor vehicles 
  • Hospitality and catering
  • Hairdressing
