The Rural Enterprise Academy

The Rural Enterprise Academy

The Rural Enterprise Academy is the first dedicated land-based free school in England.  They opened their doors to students in September 2012.

The Academy is a new and exciting free school which enables young people from the age of 14 years, to gain a broad education with traditional and essential qualifications such as English, Maths and Science, and the opportunity to link learning wherever possible to rural enterprise, environmental sustainability and land-based subjects.

Their purpose is to grow the business leaders and rural entrepreneurs of the future and their commitment is to support each and every learner to achieve their full potential.

South Staffordshire College is proud to be a lead sponsor of this new Academy alongside other world-class businesses; Veolia (world leaders in Environmental Services) and The National Farmers Union (the principal body for those in the agricultural industry).
