Tourism Students Paint the Town Red

Tourism Students Paint the Town Red

Students from South Staffordshire College have enjoyed a trip to London as part of their coursework.  The BTEC National Year 2 Travel and Tourism students took part in a residential visit to London as part of their curriculum.

The students worked well as a team and demonstrated effective communication during both the planning and implementation stages.  They incorporated curriculum related study of hospitality, visitor attractions, culture and diversity, working as tour guides and demonstrating health and safety risks.

Hayley Meades, Curriculum Organiser for South Staffordshire College, was full of praise for the students.  “A study visit is often the highlight of any course work but much more so with a travel and tourism course.

It brings to life subjects that the students have been studying and gives them the opportunity to experience first-hand the range of products and services provided by the travel and tourism industry.

The BTEC national year 2 learners were excellent ambassadors for South Staffordshire College and had great fun in the process.”
