South Staffordshire College, with its declared ambition of becoming a world-class seat of learning, has taken another step towards that status, winning gold in the 2009 College Marketing Network's FE First Awards.

The awards are a showcase of College Marketing best practice, attracting over 130 entries in 15 categories, and this year the event was held at Coventry's Hilton Hotel.
South Staffordshire College won gold for its 2009/2010 Part-Time Prospectus, with a graphic design based on the style guidelines introduced at the launch of the newly-merged colleges in
January 2009.

Director of Marketing and Communications Michelle Dowse is delighted with the award "We have used an imaginative design with a lot of exciting and vibrant photography which reflects the enthusiasm of our students. Once a prospectus was developed our talented marketing team devised an innovative promotion and distribution campaign. Our Marketing Communications programme has attracted a lot of attention; the quality of our teaching and the achievement levels of our students are outstanding and we are delighted that the excellence of our communications has been recognised."
