South Staffordshire College has had a successful 13 Level 1-3 hairdressing students enter the Francesco’s Group photographic competition final as a result of the partnership with the organisation.
The Tamworth Campus students will work to perfect the best winning style during March and will find out the results when they are announced on April 1st.
In competition with ten other colleges, the South Staffordshire College students were given the task of finding their own models, sourcing ideas from publications such as Vogue, Hairdressing Journal and television shows such as Next Top Model for inspiration, then set to work achieving a unique look on their models.
They also assisted with choosing the wardrobe and make-up for the models to help complement their chosen look. With the help of Outside the Box Photography, learners had photos taken which were then sent to Francesco’s for the final decision.
Students were encouraged to develop a high standard of hairdressing based on what they had learnt during their course and to reach their full potential as beauty and hair designers of the future. This competition also gives them the opportunity to add to their portfolio when they begin applying for jobs.
Everyone at South Staffordshire College wishes the students all the best for results day in April.
